Support our students in their endeavors to become avid readers with our first Read-a-Thon! Our goal is to collectively read 10,000 pages by the end of April!
We are asking donors to pledge 1 penny per page ($100) or any flat rate of your choice! Your donations allow Destiny Academy to continue offering culturally relevant education, family support, mental wellness, hot meals, and more to our community at no cost. Thank you for your generosity!
For every 1,000 pages our students read above our goal of 10k, Destiny Academy will get a prize!
Prizes:
Level One [10,000 pages] Pizza Party
Level Two [11,000 pages] Pizza Party + Ice Cream Bar
Level Three [12,000 or more pages] - Level One and Level Two Prizes + Students get to vote on new games for our game room!
Lantern Literacy is a time of year that we encourage and celebrate reading! Parents, community members and students come together to share in the fun and adventure of reading during the month of April!
